Summer Camps
Guitar Camp
Campers are divided into groups according to age and/or skill level. We will learn about the different parts of the guitar, proper care, good posture, fingering, strumming, plucking, as well as basic theory, notation and tuning. Each camper must have their own instrument (or, we may be able to provide rental/purchase options).
Piano Camp
It’s time to tickle the ivories! This camp is a great introduction for young beginners, as well as an awesome program to help boost intermediate and advanced pianists, helping them to take their piano playing skills to the next level. Counting, clapping, and playing basic rhythmic patterns and melodies is implemented, as well as sight-reading, ear-training, and music composition, for the more advanced pianists who are up for a challenge.
Drums/Percussion Camp
Give me a beat! Campers, we will explore various types of drums and percussion instruments in the percussion family. We will introduce basic rudiments and rhythmic patterns on practice pads and/or the drum set, help develop stick control, and good hand-eye coordination.
